Bike itself is fine, just get help if you've never built one before

The bike itself is decent. However as a beginner/novice builder I had a hard time getting the bike to come together. You need some specific tools that I just didn't have and the instructions were really bad at trying to explain simple bike building concepts to me. Made even worse is that Canadian Tire will build it for you, for free, but no where online or during the purchasing of this bike was that ever made an option for me. I was just saddled with a half built bike in a box and not even being made aware of what to do with it or really left me feeling unsure if I even built it correctly or safely. The bike itself is probably fine, but I don't enjoy it since i don't know if it's built correctly. It's a pain to ride around, the seat was too small so I had to get a new one.

Bought two of these last spring. One for me and one for my brother. We rode them from Ontario to BC loaded with packs and gear. Trails, roads, highways, hills and mountains were all conquered by this beast of a bike. Super affordable, and for what we put them through, they're super durable as well. This bike is now officially PROOF that you don't need a $10,000 bike to cross Canada! 5 stars!!! Can't wait to continue our adventure this year! Ps. All the issues mentioned by others can easily be avoided with a proper tune up before taking it out for the first ride.
