Sturdy Product - Poor Instructions

I consider myself a pretty handy guy and very mechanically inclined. I thought I was following the instructions to the letter but I had to undo what I just did two times because I thought the picture was telling me one thing but it was the other. With all of the digital media and print materials we have these days, could they not have used better (and bigger) graphics in the instruction manual? There's plenty of room on the page. Besides this, the ceiling rack is very sturdy and purchasing one is highly recommended. One of the racks was slightly bent in the corner but does not affect anything.

As described but consider additional hardware!

Solid product and instructions were good. Took time me about 4-5 hours to build and mount it, but I’m really particular. Couple issues with the hardware. It includes 8 lag bolts which I think were 1/4’ lag bolts to anchor the whole thing to the ceiling. Hanging 600 lbs from 8 x 1/4 bolts didn’t seem secure enough to me. They came with what I would call drywall anchors that the manual recommended to be inserted into your wood beams then screw the lag bolts into the anchors. The anchors are very low quality plastic and broke when the lag bolt went in. The concept seemed nuts to me, since lag bolts are designed to go straight into wood. I just went back and bought 12 new 3/8’ lag bolts and used them like normal lag bolts. Far more sturdy and provided 1 extra bolt per corner ceiling mount… felt way more secure.
