I've been buying these for a few years now. They sorta shrunk in size and the price increased but this is not a new story these days. These hardwood logs are a good alternative to purchased firewood. They will burn for a good four hours and give off a lot of heat particularly towards the end of the burn. No wax in the mix so they smell the same as firewood. Two downsides are: 1. They don't make any crackling sounds and 2. They are a bit messy to handle. If you're like me you will be vacuuming up stray sawdust after cutting open the package (using the amazing Tineco rechargeable vac I also bought at CTC) They work great in an open fireplace or an airtight stove. Try them, buy them. You'll be impressed!

Great product - mix with conventional hardwood for great results

These are a great product. I use in combination with some dry hardwood and they produce great heat over a fairly long burn cycle. And they burn very cleanly with little ash. Pricier than hardwood but easier to handle. I recommend them as part of your wood heat solution. Only downside is the sawdust they shed on the floor but better than dirt and bugs
