Time saving but low quality knob on valve.

Easy to install. I have used these connectors for years. They have saved a lot of soldering time. I have used them on manifolds that I remove each fall. My only complaint is that they have very flimsy knobs on the small ball valves. They break unless you ere very careful with them. This seems to be on the product made in the last few years.

Solid alternative to higher price 1/2 inch T valve

I see negative reviews here and they are largely leaks. The #1 reason even with Shark Bite is due to improper cutting (not straight) and/or failure to deburr the end of the pipe. Or failure to insert deep enough because the depth was not scored using a deburr tool . I have installed 5 of these for under sink water systems and none have ever leaked. The tool is cheap and is worth having in your tool box.
