I agree with the other 1 * reviews. This belt is way out of specifications for length, thickness and flexibility. And it is 3x the price of OEM. This belt will self-destruct as it will not maintain proper tension when released.

Bad Quality!!!!

Very poor quality. Rubber so hard that I had to use VISE GRIPS to squeeze it together to get it on tensioning pulley then no way to get it on upper pulley. Did not fit the machine. Will never buy a belt from CTC AGAIN.

A: For my Craftsman snowblower, I measured the belt with a tape measure. This size belt 5/8 x 38 inch was difficult to find online. Most belts are 1/2 inch and many much smaller.

Q: Craftsman Snow blower model No. 944.528392. This belt is a 408007, but is slightly thicker than the original OEM belt. Hence, you have to loosen your belt guide so that it applies the same pressure as original but should not touch the belt when augers on.

A: Yes, and make sure the belt pulleys are all aligned or else they can prevent the augers from stopping when released, and burn the belt.
