Weed trimmer

This 60 volt tool two thumbs up.
I also own the 60 volt lawnmower ,leaf blower, and the 22 inch snow blower. These 60 volt power tool work very well. They get the job done. Plenty of power with 60 volt batteries. I would recommend all the 60 volt greenworks tools.

Impressive alternative to a gas weed eater. Does medium jobs easily. Very easy to use, comparatively light in weight. Can even cut small sprouting trees.

Pretty decent trimmer, easy to assemble and charge. Did not find it too heavy to use. It actually can be assembled to be a 13 inch or a 16 inch trimmer based on the direction of the trimmer head.

Not as advertised

The trimmer works alright, but be warned the listing says that it’s a brushless motor when it is actually a brushed motor (less power, less efficient) . I noticed too late and they wouldn’t let me return after use except for store credit. So be warned and don’t make the same mistake as myself.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What replacement trimmer cord do you use to replace the trimmer cord when it needs to? Everything I'm finding on this site is for other Greenworks trimmers. Nothing for the 60V trimmer

A: I had the same challenge. I found that the Kobalt #1171667 0.08 is actually the same spool. You can find it around. Just do an online search of that specifically.

A: Hello captaincanada, Yes, this spool can be rewound using trimmer line at .080 inches in diameter. There is a guide inside the owner's manual or you can purchase prewound spool item 2941802 and simply install it. All of the information required to rewind or respool the unit is inside the owner's manual.

GREENWORKS™, at its own discretion will repair or replace any and all parts found to be defective, through normal use, free of charge to the customer. This warranty is valid only for units which have been used for personal use that have not been hired or rented for industrial/ commercial use, and that have been maintained in accordance with the instructions in the owners’ manual supplied with the product from new.
