Poor battery and recharging

The battery life on this is terrible. Says 40 minutes and 1 hour to recharge. Well I've had them plugged in for four hours and it's not charged. Dies within 25 minutes of use. Not as advertised!

No, I do not recommend this product.

A: No it WILL NOT WORK. I have many 20V tools, and while the battery will fit into the mower, it will not power it on. Even if you try a 4ah battery that comes with the mower and a 2ah from your other tools, it does not work. The mower will start and immediately stop as if it is out of battery. So the mower MUST have BOTH 4ah batteries in it to work. You can use the 4ah batteries in your other tools though.

A: Hello There! Thank you for your question. The 40v 17" lawn mower would over all be bigger by a few inches and it has 7 different cutting height positions rather than just 6 like the 14" does. However, they do carry the same amount of power, function the same, and use the same batteries. They are designed to be traditional push mowers and create a flat cut of grass. A: Only if the grass is not thick. This is the problem Im having. It has to be on the highest setting for it to cut my front and back yard. Its been raining like crazy so I mow once a week and it still isnt enough. I have to mow in 2 settings. AND it takes 4 freaking hours to charge the batteries so its an all day affair or 2 days. It says it will cut 5500 sqft. I would not recommend this mower for that much lawn. It is great for a small yard.
