Hi Dave! Thank you for reviewing your Mastercraft replacement trimmer line. We're glad it works well but sorry to hear that it didn't last long. Trimming close to fences, walls, and other hard objects can cause the line to break more often. We recommend using the tip of the string to trim the grass and using caution to avoid pushing the line into the wall or other object. If the line has become brittle, try soaking it in water overnight before using it. We appreciate your review! ChervonHK_Mastercraft
