Check the whole can for dents/warps

The spout was covered with paper (to protect it, or so I thought), I didn't take it off until I got home and the whole spout area is bent in and crooked. So just look at the whole thing to make sure it's not bent anywhere in anyway. I would return it but they're not friendly about returns at my CT.

Sub standard product

Second one bought. Only metal can available. First lasted 3 years. The spout attachment broke off and the spout leaked at the joint to the can. The bottom had pin hole rust the first year, which I patched with epoxy, that appeared again the second year. I the coated the can in rust paint. Finally the top handle gave out at the riveted joint. Sub standard product do not recommend unless in a pinch as temporary. Will be looking for something more durable over the winter.

Sturdier than expected but rust holes leaking through after one season. Stored dry indoors.

Good asthetic, too pricey and utility not as high

I really liked the vintage style but it's too expensive. It's not made with any premium materials which would demand the high tag. Also, rosette is not removable so not as versatile. It does look like it's durable.

Q: Is this watering can rust proof?

A: Mine rusted, but it took 3 summers of use before it developed holes and started leaking. I also left it out all winter. I plan to buy one again and to not always leave water in it like before. I'd much prefer it not to rust of course, but I figure it's only around $10 a year to have a nice looking watering can and I can live with that. I hope that the quality hasn't gone downhill since I bought my first one three years ago.
