Good toolbox, large size, perfect for what i needed. unfortunately, the liners that come with it slide around unless you glue or hold them down somehow, box comes with softer bushings if the originals are too stiff, the lock doesn’t feel as secure as on other boxes, the rollers could be a bit stronger. havent really had it long enough to know if theres anything that would make me regret my purchase, but at its price for a new box is good.

  • A: I can't tell you if Canadian Tire will carry it, perhaps they will special order it for you. But the top box already existed under other brands, I don't know if it is still available but you could call Qualitycraft (they make this box for CT) 1-800-459-4409 or contact Canadian Tire

Q: Can this tool box be made available to view in store? Could not find one in stock in all of greater Vancouver. I would like to look at, and inspect the tool box prior to purchasing it. That is what a brick and mortar store is all about, after all.

Q: How do the drawers stay closed? I have the 56" mastercraft maximum tool cabinet. Do these drawers use the same locking mechanism to stay closed as the 56" box? I believe its called the "raise and release" system.

  • A: no they are soft close, a rubber grommet gives a resistance to opening, I personally don't like the "raise and release" but its simply a personal preference, they can be changed to be firmer or softer

  • A: Only black was available from Canadian Tire at the time I purchased mine, though under other brands there were color options, perhaps they could order another color for you. its 30 " deep, 48" high with casters, drawer rating 250lbs

Q: Could someone please tell me what exactly are the weight capacities of drawers with double slides? Are they 250 lbs x 2 = 500 lbs? or the single slide drawers are 125 lbs?
