A: Hello Jimwo! The WX842L is designed to use 5/8 - 2 in. 18 GA Brad Nails. It is not designed for staples. The WX843L can use crown staples from 1/4 in. to 9/16 in. and brad nails at 19/32 in. The WX840L can use ¾ in. - 1½ in. Narrow crown staples and ¾ in. - 2 in. 18 gauge Brad Nails.
