Poor Torque

Bought this impact wrench 2nd hand off someone as everything else I’ve owned from Mastercraft whether 2nd hand or new has been fantastic (including their corded impacts and other PWR POD items). Unfortunately this impact missed the mark and the torque specs are no where near the advertised ratings despite a good 4.0Ah battery. It was unusable for even just changing tires despite trying all 3 settings and the auto setting. Meanwhile I’ve used the corded 7.5a impact wrench on everything from lug nuts to completely rusted junk yard parts with success. Again, I can’t emphasize how good Mastercraft’s usual quality is, especially at a friendly price point for home DIY-ers, but this impact is not useful, especially at it’s price point. I only wrote this to save others from this rare Mastercraft dud.

No, I do not recommend this product.
