Waste of money. My store wad out of the usual paint/varnish stripper I use. I decided to get this instead. It barely removes varnish and satin from wood! I wish I could get a refund.

Please note for best results you must follow directions carefully. Here are some helpful tips when using our removal products: 1. EZ Strip removal products are water based and stop working if they dry out. Avoid direct sunlight and cover treated surface with painters plastic to keep product wet and working during longer set times. 2. Set times will vary, EZ Strip will not damage recommended substrates being stripped so let the product do the work for you. Leave the treated surface for as long as needed for coating to soften for removal. One longer set time is more effective then multiple short ones. 3. For best removal results use recommended removal tools ideal for the surface you are stripping. A brass bristle brush works great for wood furniture refinishing. 4. Please note wood stains will mostly lift during the scrub with water step. EZStrip

Lousy !!

All this so called new environmentally friendly products just don't work. I followed the instructions to a T and the product barely loosened the paint. I wasted $50 bucks on this junk and now have to still find a way to remove the paint. Don't buy this stuff!! Real Junk.

EZ Strip is effective at removing all kinds aftermarket paints and varnish set times will vary. Please note this product is not designed to remove factory finished or heat treated coatings ie. automotive paint. EZStrip

Completely ineffective

I have tried this product on both water and oil-based finishes, and it is equally abysmal on both. Even when left on overnight, nothing happens! Complete waste of time and money. Fortunately, I was able to still buy a methylene chloride-containing paint stripper online from Quebec. I am well aware of the toxicity of methylene chloride, and obviously, you have to be smart in using it with precautions, just like so many other chemicals.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: does this stuff have too be scrapped or can u pressure wash it off

A: If you would like to use a pressure washer, for best results, after allowing ample dwell time, we recommend first scraping off as much of the old paint or varnish or coating as possible. This will allow the stripper gel to work more effectively on the remaining material. After scraping, you can apply the EZ Strip gel again and let it work to break down the remaining paint/varnish. Follow the product instructions for application and dwell time. Once you complete these steps, you can then pressure wash the surface to remove the remaining loosened material. Pressure washing alone without first scraping will probably make a mess as you are will be spraying the loosened coating (paint) without any control. So in summary, for optimal results it's best to: 1) Apply EZ Strip gel and let it work, depending on the coating this could be 15 minutes to several hours based on coating durability. 2) Scrape off as much coating as possible 3) Pressure wash to clean the surface 4) Always follow all product directions and take proper safety precautions. Q: can this be used on a fiberglass boat hull?

A: I’m going to say no because it melted a plastic tray but check with the manufacturer or do a test spot. I put a paint brush in a drywall mud tray and covered it with the paint remover. I then left it overnight to soak as the paintbrush was rock solid. Paint brush came out amazing but the bottom of the tray became gooey.
