Package of 2 smoke alarms - One was defective

I bought the package of 2 smoke alarms. They are the cheapest available, but they are only photoelectric smoke detectors, and do not seem to have the ion-sensors to detect combustion that more expensive alarms also have. They do provide batteries, but they're not lithium batteries. Within a few days of installing them, one started chirping at regular intervals. I replaced the battery with a new lithium battery, but it began chirping again after a day passed. Finally I returned the two of these alarms to the store, and was able to exchange for a new box of 2 alarms. These 2 new alarms work as expected. I am satisfied.

The two fire alarms are installed and working, as expected. I ended up buying Garrison at Canadian Tire due to pricing. Alot less than other brands. The units are smaller and more compact than other brands. Great value!
