It has great features but only if it stays online!

I’ve had this doorbell for about 3-4 years and recently it goes offline a lot. I have to reset to factory settings and set it up. It goes offline at least 3-4 times a month. Had my home checked thinking it could be my WIFI but it wasn’t. Very disappointing.

Changing WiFi? Reviewing unflagged footage?

Been using this nearly a year. Came from Nest, thinking about going back. Video archiving does store any footage that was not flagged. So if some damage, etc., occurs you won’t be able to scrub footage and find anything that wasn’t picked up by the software. If you change your WiFi you will need to physically reset the device by partially removing it from your house. Which is hilarious. I left nest because I hate Google. But this may have been a step backwards.

Stopped working after a year called ecobee tried to help then blamed it on internet, called internet company and they said it was ecobee. It’s the doorbell. Internet strength is good and is not blocking it.

Had this unit for a year and it was good. Now it takes so long to respond I pretty much ignore the fact that I have it. If some one rings my bell it takes so long to bring up any video that the person is long gone and I just see nothing, if I’m lucky I see someone walking away. Pointless.

The Ecobee Smart Doorbell Camera delivers crisp footage, reliable alerts, and smooth integration with Alexa and Ecobee devices. Setup was easy, and the app is intuitive. Just note: it’s wired-only and needs a subscription for full features. Still, a solid choice if you’re in the Ecobee ecosystem.
