It requires hard wire connection

I looked on the website and was looking for battery operated co2 / smoke alarms preferably with the life long sealed battery. The title description seamed like this was exactly what I was looking for. If you go into the specs though in there it said it is a hard wire connection and the 10 year battery is just the back-up. The product itself is great if you have the hard wire connection. I guess with the strobe light they can’t make a 10 year battery only one. I was able to find a 10 year battery only CO2 + Smoke made by Kidde but minus the strobe light

BEEPS FOR NO REASON.

These were installed in my new house by the builder, one on each floor. They all failed one by one within three years. Main issue is that they sound alarm without any reason and beeps without any reason sometimes in the middle of night. Really bad and useless design. STAY AWAY FROM THESE!!!!!

False alarms waking up in middle of night.

these alarms were installed when I got my basement built and since then they have gone off like 10 times at least specially in the middle of the night which are false alarms . Replacing all of these with Kidde alarms. Stay away from these.

I bought a two alarms and one was expired as it ring 5 times. I was disappointed about this I c ok u ld nott t the bill yet. Also have not seen flashing yet as I am Deaf.

Had four installed by an electrician and all four failed within a few weeks. One did not survive the length of the reno so the electrician could replace it (it has since failed too). The others lasted 2-6 months but I have no receipts to seek a refund.
