Disappointed with floors not cleaned

I've always wet mopped my floors and thought a steam cleaner would get them cleaner based on what I read. I was very disappointed. The tool went together easily enough and was simple to operate. It hardly seemed to dampen the floors and the steam wasn't that much. I have matte tiled floors and the steam cleaner just didn't get them clean no matter how many times I passed the mop over. I found it annoying that I had to keep the steam button pressed to get steam. Even with a 25 foot cord it was still a chore replugging it in around my large open space. I returned the cleaner as it just didn't achieve what I wanted.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great grout cleaner

I bought this product because I got some new puppies in the house and it works amazing especially on the grout in the tile in the hallway. They have had some accidents and it cleans it up so well. Love the detachments where I can clean without crouching over.

Q: The description does mentions safe to use on hardwood floor but does this steamer is safe to use vinyl plank flooring too?

A: They often don’t recommend steam mops for vinyl plank flooring because the heat and steam can affect the glue. But I think if you used the low heat setting and didn’t keep it in one place for long, it might be ok. I used it on an older vinyl plank floor and it was fine.

Q: Two questions: 1. Do I have to use distilled water with this steam mop, or can I use tap water? 2. Can I add cleaning products in the water to help with the stains, and also for scent? Thank you.

A: Cybil - we always recommend distilled water in our steam mops. We don't recommend adding any cleaning products to the water tank. We do have scent discs and scented water options though!
