Not up to par with other Hoover carpet cleaners

Machine works okay, but more labor intensive when rinsing carpets after washing than i anticipated. The water/ soap container is also tricky to install after filling.

Great features but broke down in less than a year

I loved this machine for the few times I used it, but less than a year of owning it during a wash it stopped working. Never turned on again. I didn’t even get to use the hand held pieces. Sadly I didn’t submit the information for the warranty for a replacement. I still have it hoping I can get it fixed but I don’t even know what’s wrong with it. It just won’t turn on.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Bought on sale so it was a no-brainer at half the price of the competing brand's cleaner. Worked very well on our 12 year old berber carpet using hot water with a bit of dish detergent; second cleaning over same area two days later and it looks great. It did not have good suction using hose on carpeted stairs (reviews on the competitor's cleaner (twice the price) it does not have good suction either).

Just purchased to replace a unit made by the other ' big name ' in carpet shampooers , and couldn't be more pleased . Everything about it works better . Waste tank comes apart for cleaning , rotary brush head assembly is removable and the suction tunnel has a cleaning opening too ( unlike my previous machine ) . The most impressive part is that this cleaner ' ejects' little tufts of hair while you're cleaning which means much less hair actually goes through the device reducing the likelihood of clogs. I used to dread using my previous machine because of the difficulty cleaning it , this one is actually fun ! Just buy it , you won't be disappointed .

A: I googled the answer and it said not generally recommended on Hardwood Floors. It dispenses too much water. We use the Swiffer Hardwood Floors System on the Hardwood… Hoover on the carpet and furniture. Hope that helps. And we use the spinning mop on the kitchen floor.
