A: The colour itself will not change on your Lagostina Padova 18/10 stainless steel cookware set. Sometimes a straw or blue tinting may appear , however this is a natural occurrence with stainless steel which is due to overheating and it is in no way harmful. It can be easily removed with Lagostina’s stainless steel cleaner. Lemon juice or vinegar can be added to the cleaner if desired.

Q: How to remove white stains? I bought the set recently. After one or two times of use, there are white stains produced and covered in the bottom of the cookware. I tried many ways and could not remove it. What are those white stains? How to get rid of it?

A: Pots usually have white residue at the bottom after boiling soup, cooking stews or frying meat. All you need is to soak it in a little vinegar for a couple of minutes and scrub it with a soft scouring pad with some dish soap.

Q: Do these pots stack for storage in between uses?

A: Yes absolutely - I get all the pots of the Padova set to stack except the largest one. It's only the lids I have no where to put so I installed 4 sturdy cuphooks on the inside of the cupboard door and hang the lids off them. Again all the lids (except the largest) fit on the inside of one cupboard door.

Q: How do the Lagostina pots and lids hold up in the dishwasher? We just bought a set of Lagostina padova pots and pans. Our old Lagostina set were wonderful and we washed them regularly in the dishwasher. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with how the Padova set holds up to being cleaned in the dishwasher.

A: The dishwasher seems to have no effect on the finish of this cookware. However, bear in mind that dishwashers are VERY harsh environments. The detergents are extremely harsh and abrasive. Therefore, over the lifetime of the cookware (which could be a verrry long time with this set) it's hard to say how the apperance could be affected. Handwashing as often as you can would be the best way to care for it, though it's not necessary.

A: When using the pots and pans on the stove top, the handles on the pots and lids, remain close to room temperature. They do require oven mitts if you bake them in the oven. Remember they are stove top, oven and dishwasher safe.

A: Lagostina cookware equipped with stainless steel knobs and handles can withstand temperatures of up to 250°C (482°F). • Silicone knobs and handles can withstand oven temperatures up to 210°C (410°F). Since this set has stainless steel handles with silicone, it can withstand up to 410°F. Hence, the reason why the description says oven safe to 400.
