Q: Is the 3500 lbs rating for the tongue weight capacity ? My trailer is 4400 gvwr, with a hitch weight of 500 lbs

  • A: Yes the 3500 lbs refers to the tongue weight. I use mine on my RV with a GVWR of 5600 lbs and all is well. At 500 lbs you're waaaayyyyy within the limits

Q: Does this jack come with a cable to run off of your vehicle or does it need its own separate battery?

  • A: This jack only comes with 2 wires, no connecting ends. Red (positive) and Black (negative). It's up to you how you wish to connect it. I connected my jack to my camping trailer battery. Hope that helps.
