Q: what is the range of this antenna
15 years agoA: I got over 16 miles. I installed the antenna 12 feet high,( roof of Mobile Home ) & using a 4 watt Cobra handheld unit.

Q: What's involved with the setup of this equipment? do i need other equipment with this to be able to listen to truckers and boater?
12 years agoA: The HG A1500, #35-0128, will work with any CB radio in a mobile installation. And you will be able to listen to truckers. If you want to use the radio in a home you would need further instruction and equipment (i.e. power supply, and proper antenna set-up) besides the radio and the antenna. For that type of setup we would suggest you call the Cobra customer service line as that is not the typical installation/use for these products. 1-773-889-3087.
