Questions
Q: Can wires covered with this heat shrink be submerged in water for a whole day, several times a month for up to 6 months?
2 years agoA: No one's ever going to go on record saying yes to this. I will say this is "double walled" tube which has a heat-activated glue encasing which when an appropriately sized tube is properly applied with an appropriate heat gun & technique - it will seal a cable (and splice) very well - and possibly to submergable abilities for low-voltage applications. Double-wall heat shrink is my only go-to solution for any wire work. It forms an incredible bond with wiring to keep out moisture and salt, etc. while protecting the joint from stress as well. I also use it as a stress relief for electronic wire ends. Good luck!

Q: Could I use to wrap some wires on my fuel pump that sits in gasoline?
4 years agoA: Hi Brandon, This product is designed to seal out moisture and protect from fluids and fuels, but not live submersed in fuel for long periods of time. If it is within a very short period (up to a minute), it will survive but the longer it is submerged the adhesive will degrade over time and cause leakage. Thank you.
