I love the way you can hook it up to different batteries with the quick disconnect cables.

I purchased this approx 1 month ago. I purchased extra connector ends so that I could hook one up to my lawn tractor, one to my generator and the other one with the clips to any other battery that I may need to charge up. The ones on the tractor and generator are direct connections that I just leave on the tractor and generator.. I just un-clip the end from the charger and plug it into any one of my three cables. It works well, it shows the progress of the charging and seems to do a great job.

Q: Description says it's for onboard marine applications but I am looking for an onboard charger/maintainer for my Lincoln MKC Reserve, will this be compatible for my vehicle or is it best for marine applications??

  • A: If your battery in full-size cars somehow gets discharged the 2D wouldn't be capable of charging it, it could maintain it though. Check the specs for that info.

Q: Is there a parasitic current leak if not plugged in, for example, all summer? I don't want to keep opening the hood in the winter to apply alligator clips, so installation of onboard charger would be convenient, but I don't want to plug in all summer.

  • A: I havnt noticed any draw. I use for enclosed trailer for inside lights i park during week and only use on weekend at track and battery has never been down fully charged sun night when parked and fully charged fri when i pick up. Hope this helps

Q: I’m looking at a maintainer option for my 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The small 12 volt battery that maintains the vehicle computer, some lights and the connection with the remote key. An onboard option sounds good

  • A: An onboard charger/maintainer is a good idea. Assuming the 12 volt battery is lead-acid (not lithium), consider the NOCO Genius 2D (011-1995) or MotoMaster Simple Series 1.5A (011-1962).

Q: Can this unit fully charge the 110ah Lead-Calcium (Pb-Ca) battery in our 2008 Audi A8 4.2L? If so, is it best to connect it directly to the battery posts or with the negative side on the auxiliary post provided for boosting?

Q: I'm experiencing the flashing error (Charger internal temperature too high / Charger will resume function once the Charger internal temperature drops) But it doesn't go away and charge. What else could it be?
