Q: Where can the wave sensor be placed? Can the wave sensor be placed anywhere along the chain of interconnected LED strips? i.e. between the hardwire box and the first LED strip; between LED strips; at the end of the chain of LED strips?

A: the sensor has to be at the beginning of the chain after the control box before the lights

Q: Does the sensor have an auto time to turn off, or does it require a second wave to shut off? If timed, can the length be set or changed?

A: There is no auto shut off offered on this unit, you do have to wave a second time to shut it off. There is no time integrated.
