I bought the first set in November of 2025, they stopped working a few months after. Exchanged for a second set and the same thing happened. Had trouble pairing etc.

Great bang for the buck

Work well for the price. My only complaint is that we prefer a warmer white tone and its a bit difficult to find that with the app but once I got it it worked great. Installation was great I would absolutely not just rely on the adhesive you will definitely need to use the provided screws to ensure they last. Had them up for about 6 months now with no issue throughout the entire winter. Great for holiday lights and for ambient light outdoors throughout the year.

Do Not buy these. They are terrible.

These lights are terrible. I installed them last October and within a month some of the lights do not display the correct colors (random yellow where should be all red). Other ones constantly flicker and look half dead. It is not just one or two lights, many are doing this and it is happening on all of the strings. The app is not good either but I would live with it if the lights were good. The individual light holders are now permanently stuck on my soffits. I tried removing one but it will damage the soffit. Ironically the stickers on the holders are the only quality item with these and now I cannot remove them. The only option will be to unplug each light from the holder to get these strings down and hopefully find some better quality strings that will be compatible with these holders. The Canadian Tire site says there is a 3 year exchange warranty on these things but unless they have come out with a new version that has resolved the issues, it would be a waste of time exchanging them. Not to mention my local Canadian Tire is terrible to deal with on returns . I do not recommend buying or installing these things.

A: No. The power must come from one of the ends of the string. There is no splitter to go two directions.

We previously advised “no” because a T‑connector splitter is not available, meaning the power supply cannot be placed in the middle of the run to connect two light strings. Please rest assured that the controller is designed to function properly when installed according to the product specifications. Powering from the middle of the run is not supported, as the string lights are engineered for end‑to‑end power flow. We hope this explanation helps clarify your concerns.

Q: Can these be used with a photocell outlet? Can a shorter extension cord be used than the one provided?

A: Thanks for reaching out. We do not recommend using the permanent lights with a photocell outlet, as the lights are very bright. We are concerned that their brightness may affect the performance of the photocell outlet. Due to the special connector structure, other shorter extension cords cannot be used with the permanent lights. Please use only the extension cord included in the packaging. Hope for your understanding in this matter.
