A: E26 base bulbs are some of most widely used (and sold) lamp bases in North America. As such, IT WILL FIT most flood light sockets, most lamp sockets, and most other sockets built into your home. Picture the most common regular bulb: this bulb replaces it. The Lightshow Bulb is however about half an inch wider and two inches longer overall. Due to its length, if you have a lampshade that uses a harp (wire support), you might have to temporarily pull out and reinstall the harp in order to screw in and remove this bulb.

Q: What outdoor floodlight do I need to make this light work? It does not fit the standard Nima floodlight kit supplied at Canadian Tire.

A: Its just a standard lightbulb. The idea is for you to unscrew your outdoor lights like your patio or garage bulbs and screw this in instead. Although most homes these days have pot lights outside so no good if all you have is pot lights.

A: I dont know of any flood lights that take standard bulb. My only thought is you could get a trouble light and just remove the cage and hang it outside, that is what i am going to do.

Q: I purchased 2 bulbs but they did not fit into my Noma flood lamp sockets. I went back to the store to ask what flood lamp kits work and neither the Christmas section or the lighting section could find a proper flood lamp kit. What should I be using?

A: The answer is that they market this bulb for one purpose (project it on your house) but don’t sell the actual socket or anything that allows you to use it as marketed. Not cool.

Q: What is the range of outdoor operating temperatures for this light bulb? As a Christmas light which I understand is suitable for outdoor use I assume it works at the low winter temperatures in Canada.
