    Love It!

I am a very busy mom running to hockey, dance etc. I have owned numerous slow cookers over the years. I was walking through Cdn. Tire one day and I saw these on sale, so I bought it. I loved it so much that I went back and got three more for Christmas gifts! I am buying two more for Christmas gifts this year. When I am making stew I just roll meat in flour and sear with a bit of olive oil and spices then add vegetables. I like all in one pot no mess and one can choose slow cook or stove stop. You will love this slow cooker. I will never own anything else. Mine is MC700

Best small appliance in my kitchen

I use my Ninja 3 in 1 to cook everything from bacon to casseroles to breads and loafs. I even steam crab legs in it. Also made chili, lasagna, stir fry, mac and cheese, eggs, and cakes (makes them really moist). Super easy clean up. The only thing I would change is to give it a glass lid. It will be excellent this summer when it's too hot to turn on the oven.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: can you program to have a delayed start?

    3 Answers
    • A: It's doubtful that you will ever find a slow cooker with a delayed start due to health reasons. Who would want raw food sitting at room temperature for a few hours before cooking. Also, in response to one other answer this unit does have a built in timer. In slow cooker mode, it will set the unit to "warm" once the cook time has been reached.

Q: English-only labels? This item at an Ottawa store was not as pictured here. It had bilingual labels. Where can I get one that has English-only labels?

    2 Answers
    • A: We purchased a different brand from a different retailer to avoid the bilingual labels, despite the higher cost.

    • A: I threw rice in with my stir fry veggies and meat, and it worked well. Use the same or a little more water than usual.

Q: What are the handles made out of - are they like the kinds that you find on the slower cookers now-hard plastic & will crack and break off over time

    2 Answers
    • A: I have had this appliance for a weekend, so bear that in mind. The handles to the actual appliance are hard plastic, but it doesn't get hot on the outside, so I think it will be ok. The handles on the pot are moulded as part of the pot and are steel as is the pot. You would have no trouble here.

Q: Can I bake a pie in the rectangular pan? And is it possible to bake a round frozen pie in an aluminium plate?

    2 Answers
    • A: In addition, any bakeware that you would use in a traditional oven can be used in the Ninja Cooking System. Due to the smaller capacity (vs. traditional ovens), often foods cook/bake much quicker in the Ninja Cooking System. We recommend monitoring the cooking progress to make sure that it is prepared to your liking.

Q: Can the nija be set to reheat/warm food to a certain temperature and then keep the food warm once at that temperature?

    1 Answer
    • A: The slow cooker function does have a "keep warm" element so that after the set cooking time has expired, it will reduce the temperature and keep food warm without burning. It also has an oven function which can be set to a specific temperature (just like a full size oven) and food may be put in to re-heat or keep warm. Sumilar to your full size oven, The Ninja Cooking System does not read the internal temperature of food though.
