    Great, safe woodstove

We heat our camp with the Newmac Classic 1, and it's a very good stove. It takes up to 24" long logs and will burn all night, and has an afterburn feature to make extra heat. The brown sheet metal enclosure makes it safe around children, and against accidental bumping. The only drawback, compared to the prettier stoves, is that it doesn't have a window to watch the fire through.

    Waste of money

Knobs fall off..no screws to keep on. Open this, close that...had to re-read and utube on how to operate. Lucky if it stays lit for more than 5 hours. Wish i would have investigated a bit more.

NC100E EPA wood stove vs NC100 Classic 1

This 'EPA" rated wood stove is not worth buying - complicated to run - small firebox and cracked in short time. The NON-EPA model, the NC100 Classic 1 is, however, one of the best wood stoves ever made for all of the reasons opposite to the above plus the NON-EPA model is safe - Life expectancy on the latter (NON-EPA) stove can typically exceed 10 years @ 5-8 cords / year

No, I do not recommend this product.
