My youngest son wanted this for Xmas, it looks good but has really bad velocity/range of the darts that barely escaped the barrel. I mean, the nerf darts barely make it a few feet out the gun. I’ve seen nerf guns for a fraction of this price perform significantly better. Also, magazine & action feed are clunky and difficult at the best of times, worse for kids’ operation.

Don't buy!

We've got a lot of nerf guns. This was a birthday present bought for my son by a family member knowing he loves nerf guns. Out of the box noticed it didn't shoot very far at all (10 feet or less). We assumed in comparison to our other guns it was because this one is geared to younger children with the snake and whatnot versus some of our other nerf guns that leave welts. Less than 24 hrs later my son goes to play with it for the second time it jams. Again we have a lot of nerf guns, fiddling around with them is a pastime in this house. I unjam it, use the reset button to be safe, work it a couple times myself sans dart, load it up, flops 3 darts out and it jams on me. Check other reviews, not sure why it's rated so high here, has happened to a lot of people. This isn't a cheap gun dollar wise. We've got dollar store dart guns that shoot better than this worthless junk. Hopefully Canadian Tire will let us exchange for a different gun.

Trust me, don't buy!

this rifle is composed of two parts. I believe that there is a gap between the barrel and the magazine side of the gun, which means that most of the time the cartridge stays in or doesn't come out of the barrel. When it does make its way out, it doesn't come out more than a meter. Fortunately, my son imagines that the bullet comes out and that he has a sniper rifle. But, as far as the actual function of the rifle is concerned, it's a failure! Then, on top of that, I threw the bill away, having trusted Nerf too much and thinking that this kind of situation did not occur with this kind of rifle :(
