Q: Is this the same as what is referenced to as an "O" ring that prevents oil from dripping out from the bottom of the oil tank?

A: Hi and thank you for your question. These seals come in hundreds of sizes for specific applications; we likely have something that will work for your oil tank, but it would be best to bring your old seal, vehicle info (year/make/model) or the dimensions you need, to your local store so they can try to match up something that will work.
