Terrible!

I bought this camera on sale and I’ve had good experiences with Moultrie in the past so I thought, why not? It doesn’t tell you on the package that you need a specific brand of batteries (Energizer or Duracell, I can’t remember) so I bought a bulk pack of Noma batteries. It wasn’t until I opened the sealed package that it said what I should be using. I figured they had some deal with the company and wanted you to buy their batteries so I put the Noma ones in and the thing wouldn’t turn on. I ended up buying the more expensive batteries the next day and the camera actually worked. I put it in the bush for a couple of days and when I went to check it was dead and had taken no photos. I ended up buying a Stealth Cam at Cabela’s and it’s been sitting out in the bush for 4 months now with the same Noma batteries and they still haven’t died. Would not recommend this camera.

Not a motion activated camera - don't be fooled

The camera blow through batteries and the reason is it's always taking pictures. You can only adjust the interval (every 10 sec, or every 10 minutes). This leaves you with thousands of pictures to browse. It does not trigger based on movement at all.

My wife bought this camera for me for my birthday. I read the reviews and was pretty skeptical, but I thought I'd try it around the yard on our acreage. It works great. It was very easy to program, and only takes a minute to set up. Pictures are great. It activates and records at least 100 feet away. I am using a 4 gb card. If you would have it set up on a small tree that blows in the wind, or if there would be branches blowing in front of it, birds constantly flying in front of it, it would take lots of pictures Im sure. I have been using it for a security camera. Very happy.

no good-rating zero not allowed

I bought a two pack on sale. Easy set up. I took it in woods and set it up, when it got dark it started taking pictures every minute and wore out the batteries in 2 days. I set the second one up, i went back 2 days later absolutely no pictures (not even pictures of me) dead batteries. These were both brand new sets of duracell batteries. I set up the one in the house, it seemed to work fine taking pictures when triggered but no pictures on the SD cards (tried 3 different cards). Set up the other in the house, triggered every minute, in a dark unused room. Contacted customer support online, thinking I may have set it up wrong. The response was,' I don't understand your issue'. I explained again, very clearly, in lots of detail....no response 3 days and counting. 2 cameras in one pack that didn't work with completely different problems being exchanged for another brand.

No, I do not recommend this product.

For a basic trail cam you can't beat the price. I have a number game cams, and I use these cheaper ones closer to trails that others might use... In case it walks away I'm not losing my nice Browning game cams. It takes great daylight pics and poor night time pics compared to the more expensive cameras. Easy to setup and they do their job. Taking pics 24/7
