The Motorad Locking Fuel Cap is designed to prevent fuel loss, primarily through evaporation. With pressure and vacuum relief valves, it can function as both a locking and non-locking cap. When the key is turned to the left and removed, the cap is unlocked and no longer spins freely. Importantly, this cap adheres to all emission specifications in both locked and unlocked positions. Don’t trust Can Tire vehicle “experts”

I bought this cap to prevent a loss of fuel due to the high prices. I put the cap on, the next day my vehicle stalled. A call to roadside, and a service appointment at the dealership only to find out this was the wrong size cap. 30 dollars for the cap, 250 for roadside and a service call and the assurance the guy behind the counter was more interested in texting than ensuring he gave me the correct part.
