Side terminal battery charging posts

The side terminal battery charging posts are an absolute necessity if you have a battery with side terminals. They work so much better than using bolts to try and charge a dead battery.

Q: I can get a battery that is side mount for free. Could I install these charging posts permanently instead of having to buy another top post battery.

A: Unfortunately one of the two product images is incorrect. This product has "tightening nubs" which would preclude you from using it with a battery terminal.

Q: Can this be used with the MotoMaster Eliminator Spiral Grid Batteries? I was thinking of getting this because access to my battery posts (on the top) are extremely difficult, so I thought if I could screw these posts into those threads on the front of the battery, access to the posts would be much easier from the side.

A: Absolutely, you can, as long as you have the space/clearance. Not sure whether you need the easy access to boost or charge your battery but if it’s for charging, you may want to consider a battery charger that comes with a ring-terminal quick-connect lead that you can permanently attach to your top post terminals like 11-1506 or 11-1522. Then you can just run the lead to a point that’s easily accessible and simply plug in whenever you want to charge the battery.
