    Engine doesnt fit

This stand is worth the sale price, however it does not fit the most common engine. SBC V8 do not fit on this stand. I did however make an extension bracket but should not have too for the most common engine.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Good buy when on sale

Its construction is nothing of a surprise for off shore quality. It does the job. A SBC may or may not fit, mine did but just barely I had to slack all the bolts and jiggle the arms into place... if there was 1/4" more adjustment it would have fit easily. I lubed the rotating collar which made it easier but still takes a fair bit of effort to turn over. If you just need a low cost stand I'd say it's worth it for what it is, if you can get it on sale even better!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Should return it!

Overall this item looked good. After assembly I went to hang an engine on it and it does not fit one of the most common engines, a Small Block Chevy. The arms are too short to reach the outer bolt holes by about a half an inch. I think CT should investigate this item for proper specifications. There are much larger engines that this stand should fit but wont.

No, I do not recommend this product.

    MotoMaster Engine Stand

This is not good for 1000 pounds. I have a Oldsmobile SB 403 (maybe 800-900 pounds)on this stand and it is only good to support the engine off the ground. The weight of the engine sags the front end to the ground and you cannot rotate it. I have to mount a ratchet strap to the front of my engine and support it from an A Frame for it to remotely work properly May be good for a smaller engine but not for the designated 1000 pound capacity. If you have a larger engine to work on then do not get this Engine stand Rob

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Should have returned it!

Bought this on sale, which was a good thing. It went together fine, except for one of the retaining clips for the wheel split in two. Used it for a V8 Mercedes engine which is all aluminum. Very hard to rotate engine on it, rolled horribly on my garage floor. Went out and bought a stand make from thicker steel higher quality and it was a million times better I would not use this to hold a lawnmower engine. Flimsy, cheaply made, they should drop this product. Wish I could return it but box is gone. I will sell it at a yard sale might only loose $20

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Does this come with bolts to hold the engine on?

    • A: It does not, at least mine didn't. That said, most engines are different so it's best to buy bolts specifically for the engine you're going to work on. Additional note, Canadian Tire does sell bolts.

Q: Can we use it for car engines?

    • A: Absolutely... Most car engines today are aluminum which is a light-weight material. That said, I've used this engine stand with an old cast-iron engine block that weighed about 600-700lbs fully assembled. No problems at all.

Q: How do I know if this will be able to bolt on to my engine? I've heard of a lot of engine stands not being able to bolt up to certain engines. I'm looking at a 2.4L 4cyl Jeep engine from a 2004 Jeep TJ. I need to make sure this will bolt up correctly to my engine.

    • A: I had this worry myself. Fortunately the mounts are completely adjustable to your engine. Not going to say it'll work 100% in your application, but I've yet to run into an engine that wouldn't bolt up to it.
