Doesn’t hold a charge.

Less than a year after purchasing, it no longer hold a charge for more then about 30 seconds. I was charging it every couple weeks and haven’t actually used it. Of course when I was in an emergency and needed it on the side of the road, it was of no help whatsoever. I am severely disappointed Canadian Tire would sell a useless product that is supposed to help in case of emergencies. Clearly you don’t take emergencies seriously, and don’t care at all about your customers safety.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: What fuse dose the DC charger take and can I charge it by the USB port what voltage of AC adapter

1 Answer
  • A: The fuse of the DC charger is 2A. If you want to connect using the USB port, the charge time will take a bit longer. The original charging voltage is 6V and it will take like 4-6 hours to charge the light. If you use 5V (USB port) to charge the light the charging time may take more than 8 hours. We suggest you either use the AC adapter or your car's auxiliary power outlet to charge the light.

Q: What is the output of the charger that can be plugged into a 110V AC outlet. Nowadays, there seems to be an adapter/charger for every small tool or appliance. It's a real jungle out there. Since the battery is Lithium/Ion, I really don't want to risk using the wrong adapter.

1 Answer
  • A: For this sku's AC adapter, its output is 6V 300mA. It’s suggested to use provided adaptor because the other adaptor may damage the lithium battery if the output voltage and current is not the same.
