Color does not match outside of tube

I needed black, but they didn't have that in stock, so I went with gray, hoping it would look close enough. The outside of the tube made it look like a dark gray, but it's almost white. Time will tell if the quality lasts.

A: Being an acrylic it will not stand up as well to the elements as Silicone. Silicone II Window/Door does adhere to the PVC/Vinyl Siding very well. (67-0848/0844/0858/0849) as well as Paintable Window/Door Silicone II. (67-1080)

A: The exterior caulking has properties that protect it against the elements. It is recommended that the interior caulking (product #0641048) be used for interior applications.
