Q: does it provide better fuel economy and longer oil life other than helping in cold start situation, does it provide better fuel economy? if it does, what percentage? i usually change oil every 5-6000 km (with conventional oil), with this synthetic oil, what is the oil change interval?

A: It doesnt provide a noticeably better fuel economy only slightly and synthetic oil should be changed every 10,000 km

Q: Is it ok to keep the unused oil for a longer time? When you do oil change, Is it ok to keep the unused oil for a longer time so that for the next oil change I can use the remaining oil along with the newer oil of same brand and standard?. (Detailed answers with references will be appreciated)

A: Synthetic oil has a shelf life. For the synthetic Mobil-1, 5w-30, it is five years. As long as you are within this period the oil will be fine. Storing oil at room temperature can help exceeding the shelf life rating.

Q: Mobil 1 Oil My Mercedes engine requires Mobil 1 0-40W oil. CT stock in 1 litre but do not show it in the 4.4 litre size. Is it available as a special order item? At sale prices?

A: The 4.4 litres are sold in Canada. So if your inquiring from another country, I cannot tell you if they sell it there.

A: Mobil 1 Synthetic 10W30 does not meet this spec. However Mobil Super 1000 (28-9407, 28-9408, or 28-9409) does – this includes all the grades (5W20, 5W30, 10W30).
