not fully pure sine wave

this inverter is not a full pure sine wave. it will not run picky appliances like our ice maker that only uses 150w. it also maxes out at about 350w and it doesnt like anything under 12.1v. bad look for canadian tire.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Needed a Pure Sine Wave inverter to power some electronics, old one introduced too much noise.

Will not run 320W load.

Bought this 400W Motomaster inverter for the trailer and it would not run the 320W load. Verified load with the 1000W pure sine Motomaster inverter I have which has Watt display on the front and confirmed 320W load. This 400W inverter always turned off with overload error, but would run a much smaller load. Phoned help line and went through their procedures, but they could not help me. Canadian Tire would not give me a credit or refund :-( Not impressed very misleading.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: is the fan on all the time or does it go by load or temp ? also does it show digital screen volts

  • A: No, the fan is not on unless there's a heavy load! This is one of the main reasons I bought the Inverter, it is quiet unlike some of the cheaper units.

Q: Will this run a generator

  • A: No this inverter will not "run" a generator. This inverter converts 12 volts DC (from a car battery etc.) and puts out 120 volts AC

Q: where do I access the fuses in my 400watt motomaster inverter?

2 Answers
  • A: If wired to battery, the fuse panel on the underside of the inverter. (Small Philips screw & small door marked "fuse"). If you are using the cigarette lighter, unplug and unscrew the end of the lighter plug. Glass 10A barrel fuse is inside. Also if using the lighter plug, you may have blown the vehicle's aux power fuse for that power outlet.
