Q: Can this be used as a power source for a 30lbs trolling motor on my kayak?

A: Yes this battery can be used for a trolling motor. Motor manufacturers typically recommend a battery rated at least 70Ah for reasonable run time, so at 45Ah you should have realistic expectations about how many hours of trolling time you will get.

Q: can this battery be used as an auxilirary battery in my car? it would be used for 18 watt LED flood lights, maybe with an inverter for charging phones/ tablets. maybe even for charging cordless power tools and even briefly a laptop

A: Yes, it could be used as an auxiliary battery. How long it would run depends on how many of these items you have connected at the same time. To give you some indication, an 18W LED light would run about 15 hours on this battery (to a safe discharge level). A laptop might run about 4.5 hours. Of course, running them at the same time would greatly reduce the runtime.

A: Generally, SLA batteries are not rated by RC. That said, at 25A discharge, it would be about 50 minutes to 10.5V (1.75/cell) for this battery.
