Handy to have, fits in my SUV and my hatchback

Been looking at one of these for a while, I found one that I liked at Canadian Tire and honestly I've been super pleased with the purchase. It keeps back my friends big dog and honestly has deterred thieves from what I can tell because when they look in my backseat and see a dog cage like that they tend to not want to break into the vehicle. That's just my experience with my security cameras here though. All in all good purchase. Easy to understand instructions. Read the instructions is my most sound advice though. Don't think you can do this without them. There's just little things that are helpful. Other than that there is a little bit of a rattle but that's to be assumed when you have a metal cage in the back of your vehicle so that's to be expected but nothing that's way out of mind or overly distracting. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

The product is great but when purchased you could tell it was a return. Luckily all the parts were there. I had checked the other boxes inside the store and they were all some level of returns.

liked it so much bought a second for our other car. and now puppy stays put in the back! A bit finicky to put together, instructions could have more pictures. Took about 20 minutes. The rubber caps for the legs are a bit big so I wrapped some electrical tape underneath them so they would stay on. It feels solid once installed, and easy to remove when not needed. got it on sale, good value for the money.

Not worth the money

If the dog pulls on it with his teeth at all the useless clips pop off and it’s down. I had to zap strap it (12 of them) to ensure it would stay together not worth the cost at all

Q: What is the safety specs in case of an accident? Will it hold the contents back? I am wanting to install this in a 2011 Kia Rondo. Will it be a good fit?

A: The Midwest Universal Car Barrier is designed to act as a deterrent or “barrier” to keep the dog from moving into the front of the vehicle. The barrier works on tension offered from the top and bottom adjusting poles. Due to variances in vehicle sizes and depending on how tightly the barrier is attached, it is difficult to offer a specific answer as to the strength or force the barrier can endure. This product is not designed to “hold” anything back. As for the sizing: · The minimum size of the barrier is 31”W x 31”H. · The maximum size it will adjust to is: 70”W x 50”H · We suggest that you measure the inside of your car before purchasing to see if this universal barrier will fit.
