The Metabo HPT 36V Brushless Jigsaw provides precision cutting and advanced performance. Its brushless motor enables high efficiency, extended runtime and longer tool life. The 36v jig saw features a 4-stage orbital action that moves the blade slightly forward on the upswing then backward on the downstroke to reset for the next cut. Auto mode reduces speed and vibration for easy workpiece alignment while the speed dial lets you match stroke speed to conditions. The tool-less blade change allows for fast swaps when required. Weighing just 5.5 lb, the lightweight yet durable Metabo HPT jig saw gives users enhanced control and maneuverability for detailed cuts.

Great little Jig Saw

I bought this to cut the cord with my old cheap jig saw. It did not disappoint me! Easy to use. Lightweight and works with all my Metabo HPT batteries. Win win! Also I like the blade loading on this. My old corded model was a pain to put new blades in.

Solid jig saw

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used a few times but it has worked as it should. What stands out to me is how smooth the pressure sensitive trigger is. It gives me the most control I've ever had with any jigsaw. I prefer smaller jigsaws and this 36v is a bit too large however I knew what I was buying. I'm still very satisfied.

Most powerful jigsaw I've ever used

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tool. Know that it will only accept T shank blades. Phenomenal value for the price, I'm slowly updating all my tools with Metabo HPT. The name is still very confusing for people. No one would care if it was called Hikoki, in fact I bet more people would choose them with that name because it's simpler and it wouldn't be confused with the other Metabo and a lot of tradesmen here know that the Japanese design good stuff.

Absolutely Amazing Machine!

I just received this tool. I had (past tense) a cheap big box jigsaw that saw the plastic blade retainer split in two. I own several Hitachi / Matebo tools and absolutely love them. My cordless drills are in fact 15 years old and I'm just starting to see them tiring out. They've built a few decks and bunk houses...I currently have a job cutting patterns into 2" pine and decided to add the Metabo jigsaw to my collection. I just notched out a beam and I'd describe the tool as a cutting miracle. I'm using a Bosch long, general use, carbide tipped, blade. Cuts straight, square and comfortably. I'm incredibly pleased with the tool. Pleased enough to stop cutting to come in and write a review before I forget. Back to the saw!

Q: Can I use 18V battery with it

A: Hello there! The Metabo HPT 36V batteries will work in Metabo HPT 18V tools but the 18V batteries will not work in the 36V tools. The MultiVolt battery platform only has backwards compatibility. Hope this helps!
