Remote control water

Works good, but I think they could’ve used Wi-Fi instead of Bluetooth not much range have to be right close to the unit for it to work. That’s kind of a bummer.

Works okay, but Bluetooth is frustrating as it can only connect in close proximity, definitely not able to remotely program when away from home. Also consumes batteries quickly. 4 batteries to replace after only 3 months.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Decent watering device

I like this watering devise but the claim the Bluetooth allows you to pause with a rain delay only works when your standing beside the devise. Defeats the purpose of using Bluetooth. My understanding was this option was usable when you are away from home but that’s not the case. I like that I can set up the app with each connection, one each for my veggie garden, front deck flowers and back deck flowers and each one can be set up with their respective schedules.

Do Not Buy!!!

DO NOT BUY!!!!! It will make you mad!!! You literally need to be beside it for the bluetooth to work which defeats the purpose if having a bluetooth.

No Problems

This is the second one I have bought. Had a 2 zone and needed more so I got this one. Have had no problems with either. Easy to program and work great. Only wish the Bluetooth had a better range. But for the price, I can’t complain, too much.

A: Richard, I am sorry you are having this problem. Let's try a valve reset. Step 1: Turn off the water. Step 2: Open your Melnor Bluetooth app. Step 3: Choose your device. Step 4: Hit the manual button on the app and wait 1 minute or so. Step 5: Turn off manual. Step 6: Turn the water back on to see if the valve is working correctly. Step 7: If this doesn’t work, turn the water off and then turn manual on and off a few more times. Also, please make sure that your water pressure is between 20-80 PSI. If this doesn't fix the issue, please text us at 540-783-6300.

Q: How can I get the valves to stop sticking on my Melnor Bluetooth water timer? Valve 3 won’t open most of the time and now valve 4 is having problems. If I go away I fear my extensive garden will be ruined.

A: Got the same problem. Has to do with your water pressure, it's too high so the differential pressure on each side of the valve is too great and it keeps the valve from opening. Get yourself a screw on PRV (pressure reducing valve) like they make for RVs, they're about $20. Reduces your pressure to about 40-50 pso and the unit will work flawlessly.
