Disappointing experience from Canadian Tire

We were three steps into the installation process and simply lifted the top onto the bottom section, removed the plastic, and found a giant scratch all across the top. Canadian tire was not prepared to do anything to fix it.

Poor quality. Rubber bumpers for the hood immediately brok after 1st use.. Ordered new ones and discovered that it is a design issue. The bumpers do not sit on a flat surface and break off when the hood is rested in the open position. After 3rd use flames starting coming out of the crossover tubes. This is wasting gas that should be sent to the burners. By far the worst BBQ I've owned in the past 25 years. Get what you pay for I guess.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Please Note: The crossover tube (also called the carryover assembly or carryover tube) is specifically designed to carry the flame from one burner to the next during ignition. When the burners are operating correctly, it's normal to see:
1. Small flames at the carryover openings.
2. Flame traveling through or across the carryover assembly to ignite adjacent burners.
3. A small, steady flame visible around the carryover area while the burners are lit.

Large erratic flames especially accompanied by heavy soot is NOT normal as this would indicate dirty burners, blocked air shutters and/or grease build-up. For questions or assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to us, we're here to help!

Poor quality components Do not recommend

I’ve owned the Master Chef Elite bbq in propane for three years now. The heat control knobs do not adjust the heat well resulting in a bbq that cooks at a very high heat always. This results in constant severe flare ups. The burner tubes and cross lighting bar rust out yearly requiring replacement every year requiring you to basically rebuild the firebox annually. The stand is rusting extensively despite being cleaned and covered with a quality bbq cover when not in use. There is nothing Elite about this bbq and I regret the purchase.

No, I do not recommend this product.

If your grill is consistently running at very high temperatures, we recommend checking for grease buildup around the burner system, grease collection plate, and grease cup, as this can contribute to overheating and flare-ups. For most grilling, baking, and roasting, the Medium and Low heat settings are recommended, while the High/MAX setting is primarily intended for preheating and searing.

Carryover assemblies are consumable parts that naturally wear over time, particularly with repeated exposure to high heat. Regular cleaning to remove grease and debris, along with keeping the grill covered when not in use, can help extend their service life.

For the rust on the cabinet, light surface rust on painted areas can often be removed with a product such as WD-40 using a soft-bristle brush, then wiping the area clean to help protect the finish.

A: Should be a "AA" battery inside that can be replaced. Unscrew replace battery and make sure it's revealed when installing again.
