Bad

It took too long to arrive when I literally paid for it to arrive the same day and it was also very close to where I lived. What I paid was because I thought it was going to arrive the same day and it didn't.

Painful to change nailing mode

I bought this unit because my last nailer was a mastercraft an it lasted for years . This one came set up as bump but I preferred sequential so I followed the instructions to change it . The directions were poor and the part replaced was almost black in the manual .after my second attempt I got it right but their would not shoot nails. I had th adjust the screw that pushes the plunger in it misfires often or just shoots air randomly but is getting the job done I would not recommend it

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

Q: In the picture it shows the Roofing Nailer being used on Vinyl siding which is the application I would like to use this for. Is there an adapter that is used to prevent the nails from being driven too far for siding applications?

4 Answers
  • A: I am not aware ofi any adaptor to control nail penetration , but may well be one. By adjusting the air supply pressure you can control the nail penetration quite effectively, but there will be minor variations. Vinyl siding must NOT be nailed to prevent horizontal movement in the nailing slots.

  • A: See what images? I am pretty handy at fixing things but instructions to switch are major pain and once I did what it said in the manual it would not fire a single nail

Q: does this have a vinyl siding adapter

1 Answer
  • A: No it doesn’t. It has a depth adjustment dial but no vinyl siding adapter. My son was able to set it for vinyl siding, but it took more than simply turning the depth dial that’s on there. I’ve been told Dewalt makes an adapter, but it’s not interchangeable with Mastercraft. Hope this helps.
