I bought this compressor and connected it; it won’t switch off at 150 – it went into the red zone. The pressure switch was faulty, so I replaced it with an identical model of the same compressor. I connected it, but the problem hasn’t gone away – the same thing is happening: the pressure switch isn’t working and it won’t switch off.

  • A: Yes. it's perfect for that use. Bought it for the same purpose but make sure you don't use a long extension cord that is less than 12gauge.. 14 gauge won't cut it.. the motor draws a least 12A..

Q: Can u use a impact gun It says it needs a 2hp with the CFM at 2.7 it's the impact gun from Canadian Tire in a kit. According to this out put it should but want to be sure

  • A: 3.7-4 CFM* for the Mastercraft 1/2 impact. But most air impact wrench will use around 25 CFM underload (Impacting). Every 120v air compressors won't be able to run the tool CONTINOUSLY whatever what the gallon capacity of the compressor is, you'll need a big 240v one for this. By increasing the gallons of your 120v compressor, you just buying time before you need to wait for the compressor to recharge. So you'll work INTERMITTENTLY, nothing really wrong with this except that you need to wait for the compressor to recharge. Here's an example: 1)You have a 10 gallon, 5 CFM, 150 psi air compressor, your regulator is set for 90 psi for your 1/2 impact. You can remove 10 lug nuts before you need to wait for the recharge. 2)You have a 5 gallon, 5 CFM, 150 psi air compressor, your regulator is set for 90 psi for your 1/2 impact. You can remove 5 lug nuts before you need to wait.

  • A: I’ve used it for various tools and had no issues. The output is fully adjustable ans so I would say “yes” it’d work with your sprayer. Easy to move around, but a bit noisy.

Q: I need to top up my dually camper van in the spring after storage. Is this going to take 1/2 a day to do, like my 3 gallon compressor that I have to wait to pressure up each and every time? Tire pressures 55 - 65 psi.

  • A: This compressor very fast at building up pressure.  I use it at the cottage for power tools and winterizing activities like blowing out waterlines in the fall.

Q: Will this Air Compressor Mastercraft 10 Gallon Shop Air Compressor #058-1390-8 Be enough CFM & SCFM + Enough Gallon tank wise , to use for an undercoating gun to spray things like Fluid Film & Wool Wax, Rust Check, Krown ?

  • A: The Air compressor in question would be best suited for low to med CFM usage for short duration. For the purpose you have outlined I would recommend a larger tank and perhaps a larger compressor as well. You want consistent pressure for an extended period. Hope this helps
