I used it on my 2018 F 150 the card in the package was very help . 4 stars because it only been on for about a week , it needs the test of time. I could of used about 6 more inches to help at my cap"s door too.

Q: how thick is the rubber? what size gap will it 'seal'?

A: The gasket is about an inch and a quarter thick. It is designed to seal the tailgate when closed. It will not span any real gap or span the gap when the tailgate is down. When closed, and used with a tonneau cover this keeps almost all of the dust and water out if the bed that would normally get through this unsealed area.
