Solid level

A solid level by Maximum. Simple and easy to read that has a good solid feel to it. I have accidentally dropped it but has not effected the bubble. So far I am happy with it and should last a very long time.

Only for rough work

Unfortunately I can't recommend this level for any but the most basic uses. The accuracy leaves a lot to be desired as the bubble is much smaller than the space between the lines. There's only a single flat side, it doesn't have a groove for resting it on pipes, and doesn't have magnets to hold it on metal surfaces such as electrical boxes.

Just a Level

The maximum Torpedo level is well made and looks good. The durability was surprising, I dropped it many times from waist height on the concrete garage floor and it did mark and dent, but it stayed true. Very easy to read with the contrast in colours and the large bubble area. A few complaints, I would like to have a third bubble on a 45 degree angle and as an electrician I would prefer to see the bottom grooved and magnetic. This would allow hands free use while leveling conduit and mounting large metal electrical enclosures. All in all a few design flaws for specific installations, but a good sturdy all purpose level for the home owner.
