Good for home use

To begin, calling this just a spray gun is a bit misleading, though while it DOES include a complete spray gun kit packaged up in a plastic carrying case complete with the quick-release air attachment, it also comes with a set of small air tool accessories, including an air trigger with a needle valve attachment, a couple of different blow tips and an air pressure regulator.
The kit itself comes with two sets of nozzles (1.4 and 1.8 mm) and enough disposables, including face masks to run five paint sessions, which is about as long as it may take to get used to the gun.
Build quality is very good, especially for the price point and I found it was not difficult to get a good job done - but as air guns go, this one requires a bit more pressure than the best quality guns - you need a feed of at least 40 psi with a flow rate of 3.4 CFM - so your nail gun compressor can't be used with this.
Don't get the idea that you will find these in your local car dealer's body shop, but for jobs around the home and in your basement shop this is a perfect tool, and the price is right.
Note that the manual is a bit on the sparse side if you have never used one of these in the past, but there are tutorials out there on the web that you can reference.
Would I buy this? Ansolutely.

Q: Can other size nozzles be found for this gun, like 0.8 and 1.0? Are nozzles interchangeable from other makes or does Canadian Tire have a line with parts that are specific to their own gun?

A: We don't suggest the you change the nozzle size to 0.8 and 1.0 for this model. The spray gun is used for metal finish and furniture finish. The small sizes are usually used for some small repair. If you want to change, you should consider changing the nozzle, needle, and atomization.

A: The MAXIMUM Air Spray Gun can't be used with plastidip. It is HVLP spray gun and can be used with water-based paint.
