Excellent product. Expandable to a double sided wet wheel setup. Grinder needs a splash guard. A speed control might be useful.

Wet dry tool sharpener

Works well turns nice and slow and the water keeps everything nice and cool. Put a rare earth magnet in a baggy and placed it in the bottom of the water tray to catch the metal while grinding.

This is a great machine. It works well with the supplied holder to sharpen chisels, but I wanted to sharpen kitchen knives and bought holders from Wen. I have never been able to sharpen knives like I can now.

Q: What "RPM" does this unit run at? 110rpm or 1725rpm? both are stated and since it is NOT a variable speed only one can be correct. Does it come with any accessories? on line says NO Accessories included, and another line says Number of accessories (3)

A: Bonjour, Comme vous posez une question sur le fonctionnement de cette meule, J'apprécie beaucoup la meule de pierre très douce qui peux tourné vers le haut. pour la meule de cuire ... Nous ne l'utilisons pas, Elle nous semble trot fragile. Pour le polissage de finition nous utilisons une meule de coton recouvert de pâte pour roue de polissage. ( le junior compound dark green JC 3016 de Keto) Nous avons tenté d'appliquer la pâte sur la meule de cuire ... mais le résultat est décevant.

A: None included. What I am thinking is to make a small jig (similar to a slit that some bench grinder have) and use the universal holder or mount a drill grinding attachment meant for a bench grinder to my bench. Tormek sell an attachment that should work but is ridiculously expensive.

Q: Is the spacing of the tool support arms The same as the Tormek? Approximately 9mm center to center

A: If you are referring to the pole diameter, it is different. It is 12 mm.

Q: Yes some Tormek parts works but stone on Maximum is 1/2” bore. How do you mount Tormek SG 250 stone which is 12mm bore so you can have the 250/1000 grit feature of Tormek stone?

A: You can use Tormek SG 250 on this sharpener if the stone thickness is 50mm. Mount the stone with the nut and flange supplied with this Maximum Tool Sharpener .
