looks sturdy and perfect for mobility of miter saw

Looks nice and strong only problem is to store the stand with the miter attached its not designed to stand on its side because it has no support must detach the saw every time.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great stand

I was getting tired of always having my saw on the floor and having to get on my knees to cut wood. (there never seemed to be a table handy) This stand makes my Mastercraft miter saw a much better and handier tool. Also makes the saw a lot easier to move from shop to barn to garage etc. I love the extensions with rollers. Now I can cut long lumber without binding or the wood falling off both ends of the saw. Great for cutting small pieces from long stock. I have had this stand for about a year now and it is rugged and has stood up well.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: Will this fit the Mastercraft Maximum 12" Sliding Mitre Saw with Laser? Will this fit Item #55-6757, the Mastercraft Maximum 12" Sliding Saw with Laser?

  • A: The 57-1650 is the most useless stand for a miter saw. I wouldn't waste your time looking it up. Looks like I will be shopping someplace else for a stand to fit my master craft 12" sliding saw.

Q: Re: Maximum heavy duty miter stand #057-1649-8 My Maximum 12" dual bevel sliding compound saw model # 055-6757-4 does not mount to the mounting brackets supplied with stand. is there wider mounting brackets or something which will accomodate this saw to this stand. Thank you Tony

  • A: Tony, I have a 12" compound mitre saw and have had not problems fitting it on with the existing brackets. There should be enough adjustment by moving the nuts in the brackets.

Q: Will this work with the 055-6767-0 Mastercraft saw that I have?

2 Answers
  • A: Nope, I bought the 055-6767 saw and ordered this stand 5 months ago (raincheck) as they were advertised together in a flyer. Got the stand today and they do not fit, the saw mounts are about 2" deeper than the length of the mounting brackets. Called support and you need to by the non-maximum stand without side supports (057-1650).

  • A: Unfortunately the discontinued/clearance model 057-1649 is not compatible, but the new MAXIMUM mitre saw stand 057-2330 is compatible with your mitre saw as it features longer 18.1” quick-release mounting brackets.

Q: Which canadian tire rep is wrong? The previous question says the updated stand for 055-6567 is product 57-2330, but when you look at that product and read the questions the same question of compatibility is asked and a Canadian tire rep says it is not compatible? Who is wrong?

1 Answer
  • A: The discontinued MAXIMUM Stand 057-1649 will not fit discontinued Mastercraft-Maximum 12" Sliding Mitre Saw 055-6567 as the mounting bracket is too short (bracket length: 376 mm), but newly-launched MAXIMUM Stand 057-2330 is compatible with your mitre saw (bracket length of 460 mm).

Q: Canadian Tire Team: You have advised that an updated is coming later this year to fit 055-6757. Any update on when. Myself and numerous other posters on this site have been trying to get an answer to this question for quite some time now. Any chance you could call the company that makes this unit and attempt to get a release date.

  • A: The new stand compatible with 057-6757 launched late September. The mounting brackets are 4” longer than other models carried. Product 57-2330.
